here is an idea for the canoe thingy.

Decked Canoes, Open Canoes, as long as they're canoes!

Is anybody interested in a waterfall clinic?

I think that Baby Falls and Upper Potter's Falls almost always have enough water. There may be other places locally.

We could take a day or a hald day and go practice running vertical drops. Those are both clean, easy falls and pretty easy to repeat. Some of ourore talented peeps could share sage advice.

Plus, then we could all complain about how our lumbago hurts.

Chris when are you going to be there? I spend a lot of time between Atlanta and Kansas City with some in ARkansas. I would like to pick your brain on the rivers in the Missouri, ARkansas area.

Right now I intend to boat March 9

through March 18. If you are up here and want to boat I have several canoes and all the gear you will need.

The problem with Arkansas is that it is so undependable. It has lots of great runs but tends to go down quickly.

Mr. Deadlegs, here is a site that pretty much covers what is available in our fair state:

Handy guide to water levels:

give us a heads up and we'll be happy to show you around!

I would love me some Baby or Lower Potters Falls. I need to go back and redeem myself after this:

I will be happy to offer pointers on how not to do that.

I sure hope we get some rain, or getting stuck on the lip will be an issue at either falls. Right now the Emory at Oakdale is 900 something so we need lots of rain and we need it soon.

I am planning on running the Cheoah on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, if any of you fellow Louiefesters want to hook up that day.
