Taureau Outfitting Questions.

I need some feedback regarding my new taureau.
1. Lap belts. Does anyone put them in.
2. Seat height. Factory setup seems high.
3. Thigh braces?
4. Does anyone use something other than a bulkhead setup?
Feedback and pictures would be a big help.
Send pics if you have any to

Thanks

1. Shouldn't need a lap belt... specially for creeking
(not a good idea i.m.o.) The bulkheads and footpegs should work just fine.
2. Depends... how wide can you get your knees and still be comfortable. I chopped a seat down 1"+ one time only to find out that to be comfortable and have my knees as wide as possible I had to add a 1/2" back on to it. Make the boat fit you.
3. Why?... it has bulkheads... if you feel you need more bite you can add onto the thigh braces. (Word of Warning... this will make it harder to get in/out... which can be good or lethal)
4. Nah... B/H is the way to go. Adding straps and gizmos would require glue (that most likely won't stick) and drilling holes.
Maybe this

What I've done to all four of mine

I cut 2.5 inches of foam off the back of the seat so I set back and ain't really that stern heavy at all. I'm only 5'8" tall and weight 155 lb. (yano the national average). However I found out that after doin that I had to raise the seat 3/4". I checked the first proto types out of the mold and that is the way Andrew and I outfitter both of them. I noticed on the first factory outfitted one it ask different so I pull some measurments and the seat was three inch futher back in the prototypes so I changed the factory outfittin to mach our and I noticed a difference.
