The C-Boat lose-weight diet!!

Ok, this is a slightly different "trip report" than is typical on this board...No crazy waterfalls here!
I got out on the river for the first time this year...
Over the winter I put on about 10-15 lbs... hit 255 lbs.
I figured I'd be too big for the Jackson super-fun (at my skill level anyway - roll ~ 30% success)... not to mention fatter legs means feet go to sleep fast!
I rented a Zephyr (11' as opposed to 7'6" - theoretically more buoyancy).
Well, I didnt quite fit the Zephyr... factory outfitting was too small (bulkhead)... Thought I could manage... but I was about 2" off an already high seat, I ran the first swift, got abt 3 " of water in the boat, it felt like a freight train.
Had a couple friends offer up their Ocoees for me to paddle instead (they had straps) that was better from a 'butt on the seat perspective'...but I was still too heavy for the Ocoee.. 255lbs is like a 200lb paddler paddling w/ a boat full of water (or 50lbs worth anyway)
At the end of the run I was pretty discouraged... Someone tried to cheer me up, "hey maybe it's time to consider a rival? vertige" no, wrong answer.
Good news is, it's spurned me into losing weight in a 'big' way!
