:o Nice job brother... keep us "posted". I'll be curious to see if you guys can throw a big move and land in the pocket... I'm guessing anything landing on the green water is going to be a flush-o-la gaurantee. Dooley get out there yet?

Cheers... and best of luck!!! :D

(PS... I'll go ahead and make a small wager here that you can't do that move in a "traditional" canoe. )

You're probably right. I really doubt that the birch bark would hold up to trying to bounce...

Thanks everyone- I'm about to head out the door to go compete. The C-1 shots are from my "training time" in Uganda- I figured I'd go find a big wave to learn the moves in C-1, rather than trying to learn the moves in OC-1.

I'll try and get more video and pictures posted tonight or tomorrow, depending on how late the comp and/or party goes tonight...

Just got back from the river. I don't have full or official results, but from the looks of things, I made finals- Had two 0 point rides, which will be dropped, a ride where I hit a couple roundhouses and a back (air?) blunt, and I hit a roundhouse on my forth ride. From watching it also looks like Paul Danks will made finals by landing a Pan-am. Jordi from Spain and Stephan from Germany put together some consistent spins and roundhouses, and maybe an air blunt or two, and should also be advancing. The fifth boater to advance will be a tough call- several of the competitors struggled to catch the wave- towing on with the rope was hard, and dropping in from above was risky, as it was hard to catch, and resulted in the boat being instantly full of water. I'll try and get some video put together later today.

:D 'atta boy!!!... keep the crowd "wow'd".

(btw... I hope you know this is killing me)

Please tell me "someone" is taping all of the C1 and OC1 rides... the biggest moves and best rides almost never happen in the finals.
