I was on the Cheat Narrows Monday and came upon the squirt spot and found two kayakers getting some impressive down time. It was interesting to see how quickly they dropped (out of site) after entering the seam line. The technique appeared to be to engage the pour over line on and parallel to the eddie seam and then let the current drive the end down and initiate a slow spin that the boater would then maintain as he drifted down and away. One of those boaters was down for more than 5 seconds, that may not seem long but it was impressive to me.
If a cboater were to achieve this same depth what technique would be used to maintain? Is it the same?
