reviews of mohawk intrepid 16?

I'm looking for a class II-III tandem boat that could also be used on short overnights, either downriver or bay paddling (Assateague Island for example). I found an outfitter selling old Intrepids. Does anyone have thoughts on if this is the boat I'm looking for?
I currently only have a 17 foot Grumman, so just about anything is an upgrade.

I recently bought a number of Intrepid 16s from a school that was updating their equipment - I've since repaired and passed on a number of those and have had the chance to paddle them a couple of times. I've only had them on class II or so, but they were good basic canoes that should suit your needs. I would not want to take them on technical class III due to their length and that they don't turn like the higher performance, specialized boats. However, they are stable and forgiving.
