mtn bike shuttle on Ocoee?

Post by eubie »

Is a mtn bike a dependable, safe option for doing our own shuttle with only one car available?

Is there enough traffic and hospitality to bum a ride up?

Thanks for any info

man, just hang a thumb. I've never been turned down.

To me, peddling a bike to shuttle afterwards would be pure brutality.

Agree. I was always able to get a ride to the top, much easier than on the Nanty. By contrast, you don't want to be going up that highway on a bike. "Smear the Road With a Rider," as the semis say.

i shuttle myself with my mtn bike all of the time on the gallatin river here in mt, anyone who has driven 191 along the river you know it isnt that wide and i usually have nothing but niceness from the passing cars/trucks/semis, plus it is a great warm up if you shuttle before you paddle.
