Boaters needed for triathlon

Post by KNeal »

I am looking for anyone who would like to come to Richmond and help with river safety at the Xterra Triathlon East Coast Championships, to be held here in Richmond, VA., this coming Sunday, June 17. This is a BIG race and there will be over a thousand triathletes swimming in the James River. Many of them will not have much confidence with their swimming ability in a river that has current, so we need as many boaters that can help to float on the river and provide assistance, course marshalling (HA HA! I said MARSHALL! ), and to be be a hero to a participant who may feel like quitting.

Call me or PM me for more info.

Thanks,

I'd sign up Kneal but I'm taking the wife boating that weekend, I get the feeling I'll be giving plenty of swimmer support too :)

Sorry, have rescue squad duty, I may be there, just not in the water.
