Wood Stripper C-1 Squirtie update

Been working on the jig - form this week. I should have that all ship shape by end of this week and start stripping with probably 3/8" cypress on the hull by next weekend. The deck is going to be a combination of cypress, mahogany and abs plastic inserts for a very decorative deck. Kind of like an aztec bonefish tribal graphic. I will try to shoot some pics of the fixture and the start of stripping this week. Length is going to whind up around 8.5 to 9 feet . Width will be around 26.5 inches . The deck is going to be slammed guys. I am going for down time and surfability. Rocker is 4 inches front 3 in the back. Top of the turret will be 12 " as i want to be able to incorperate hip padding inside the cockpiy rim. Oh yeah that brings to mind , the rim will be wood as well. Every thing will be glassed in of course with 2 outside the hull 2 inside . 1 outside the deck and 2 inside. Gonna shoot for a ddouble seam inside and triple over lapping seam outside with the final being Dynel. I have some cool lines in this boat , smooth arch in the first and last foot or so and very broad flat areas in the rest of the hull for stability. The deck has smooth concave areas for loading and a steep transition in the turret for low volume. Chines are rounded so not to be twitchy only some of the seam areas will be sharp for cutting under and into currents. So far so good. heading to the savage around 5:30 tomorrow morning . JIM
