This boat rocks!
A very balanced boat, fast forwards and backwards, loose, and loves to bounce!

Fluid has also moved to Canada from South Africa this year and have settled in Ontario but certainly haven't forgotten their roots.

Started this one from scratch this week. When i took the seat out of it i needed to find something to keep the hull stiff. All of the other boat i have converted always had a rail system but in these boats the entire seat provides the stiffness. So i took a hockey stick composite shaft (one of the stiffer shafts) and cut it to fit inside the boat before the rocker starts to kick and attached it to the stock bow and stern bulkheads. It works great!

Still using my Northwater Lap Belt, but i am looking for another system..any suggestions? I have been thinking about a airplane seatbelt but they hard to come by.

I had it out for a few hours at my local wave yesterday for the first time, and i was impressed! I am Coming from a LL Vision 56.

It doesn't carve as hard as the vision (the V56 has those "rails")
but the little extra width and a tad softer rail allows it to be a lot more comfortable on a wave, it really gives more time to set up and release the boat easier, rather then being racy all the time. It will also help with not getting spanked as much when running downstream too!

Can't wait to get out into it again......

How the He// did you get one of those, didn't think they were available yet, Lucky. Also how much do you weigh, i'm in the US so if you can convert to pounds  . I was thinking that would be a great C-1. Outfitting looks great, nice job.
Thanks

We decided to order a couple once Celliers dropped by our shop, they are being made a few hours away from Ottawa so we had the first couple out of the mold.

Im 165lbs and it floats me well. I can throw it around pretty easy, have a bit of trouble linking cartwheels in the flats, but who cares about the flats. My buddy is paddling one as kayak and is just about 200lbs. (160-210 is the listed range i believe) I'll post the boat specs tomorrow don't have them on me now.

Has potential to be my favorite conversion yet... need to get it out a few more times.

Nice looking boat Kev!

I agre, ditch that North water lapbelt a oon as you can! I once almost thought I was going to move on to a different status of being because the belt became jammed in the buckle of my NorthWater lap belt while I was getting WORKED in a pourover  ... (don't ask how I ended up in there in the first place... ...).
As an alternative I can recommend the CIP1 VW beetle syle seat belts, which is what I ended up using now. A bit heavier that airplane seat belts, as they are chrome plated steel instead of aluminum, but fairly cheap (~20 bucks) and they won't jam! Ever!

Thanks All

I switched the original ring on the side to a large d ring which i feed the belt through to prevent the belt from jamming. (which did happen to me) but now the ring digs into my pelvis. Anywho, that belt looks pretty nice, i think i might just order one., thanks for the link Martin.

I forgot the boat specs again at work today, so I'll post those up eventually.

Hitting up the local wave tomorrow morning for a few hours...can't wait.

Just wondering more about it's performance on waves and holes. So this is indeed a fast boat, eh? and as for bounciness and sliciness its an great? Sounds like my kind of boat, you may have just persuaded me to get one!! How does it perform in holes? Any cons about this boat? It seems too perfect haha.
look forward to hearing back from you

It is a fast boat, it has no problem ripping down from the top of the foam pile into the trough. It;s not as fast as my Liquidlogic Vision was on a wave, but it's more controllable. It bounces HUGE, and is very loose. I find it easier to spin then my Vision on the bigger waves. I haven't spent to much time in any good holes with it yet, but the fact that it is a fairly symmetrical balanced boat, it should be great. Not to mention the extra volume in the knee area should make it loop nicely.

Get in contact with your local dealer.

I made those with a everyday cutting board. Cut it in half, bent it with a heat gun, and rounded off the edges with a drummel.
