Biz EZ or River Runner Conversion

Tried the search (again to no avail) so I apologize if this is covered in another thread I couldn't find.

Is the Big EZ a good boat to convert for someone who is 6'1" and 200lbs (+/- 10lbs)? How is it as a downriver boat rather than strictly for play?

Another suggestion for more of a river runnner that can be found in a similar price range?

I paddled an EZ for a while at 180# and found it to be slow and lacking in glide for a river runner, it was ez to throw around though I tend to prefer edgier boats. At your weight I would think the big ez would be easy for you to throw around, but the super ez might be more comfortable as a river runner.

I'm 5'7", 195lbs. & use the Big EZ. I've got a bulkhead/lap-belt set up in it. It's great on a steep wave. It carves real quickly & spins pretty good, but the Forplay does spin better. Also, it has enough rocker in the bow to keep it from pearling. I've done both the Upper & Middle Ocoee with it & did fine. At my skill level I wouldn't want to use it on anything more difficult. It is just too slow for my taste on the pushy stuff.

Here's a quick video of it on the wave here: http://www.americanwhitewater.org/conte ... oid/14023/
