Wavesport Freestyle Rode
Starting at 7:00 (registration between 5-6:30) the freestyle rodeo will take place on the Feature A wave, one of the locations that will be used at Freestyle Nationals next month. Given the shortening day, some of the event may even happen after dark under the lights provided by Stonyboater.com.
We tested our settings last night and in addition to the normal flat spins and other low angle moves, advanced paddlers should be able to throw most of the newer wave moves. We’ll try and make the wave a little more retentive for those who want to go aerial, so don’t leave home without your full repertoire of freestyle moves.
We will be using the same scoring system as Maryland Chute Out, a modified version of the old scoring system that is much more user friendly to beginner and intermediate freestyle paddlers;
Key beta:
Registration – 5:00 to 6:30
Practice Time – 6:00 to 6:45 or so
Athletes meeting at Feature A – 6:45
Competition – 7:00 until finished
