Watauga is a three hour drive from LC and doesn't really have a easier sections but if many of youns ain't done it it is one of the classics and will have water. However it is a cold butt run even in the summer it just never seems as warm as it should be.

You mean Watauga Gorge?
Is it as challenging as Monte Smith eludes to in "Southeastern Whitewater"? (yup, got my nose in another book again  )
If the North Branch of the Catawba is running I'd be interested in that while y'all are on the Watauga
Somehow, I don't think something that is described as a "steep creak freak's wet dream come true" is for me
The other half no doubt would be up for it
way cool Louie

It only has three rapids ( Hydro, Heavy Water, and Watagua Fall) and 90 broken noses (rpaid on the Ocoee)

Liz's boat will be on the truck heading South for the ALF. After Liz's ordeal from her broken ankle last spring ( she's been back skiing this year :D ) she'll be boaten again this spring. Given she spent most of last March Break stuck in the cabin I know she's going to want a guided tour of your rivers Louie.
