Nice picture of Al Greve's daughter in the latest issue of Canoe & Kayak. She was 13 years old when the picture was taken at ALF-07. She's paddling the Splash (which he designed for her) on one of the upper ledges of the Tellico.

No picture of her on Baby Falls, unfortunately, but the article mentions that she ran the 17' falls on the Tellico, so I presume they're talking about Baby Falls.

Maybe it's higher at lower water levels. I will recheck my pictures of redneck teens jumping off the left approach.

I havn't seen the article of Aliesha in Canoe Kayak yet, so I can't say which pictures they used. But the interview was done over the phone with Aliesha about 2-1/2 months ago. The spring of the 07 ALF.... she was 12 when is did the Upper Telico and Baby Falls. I'm going to guess from the view of the eyes of a 12 year old girl the falls looked about 17' :o

All that said her younger sister Emily who is 11 did the Baby Falls this past ALF.....she had to out do her older sister...... And who knows..... maybe from Emily's eyes the falls just got bigger??? You know the story ....who caught the biggest fish.

This was Emily from a few weeks back

The flame that burn twice as bright only burns half as long. I'd have to tell that coach that he might know a lot about that stick racin but he don't appear to be much of a Creeker. Maybe he is a seriour creeker but he don't talk like one, don't want he hurtin hereself, look like he try to transfer some of his fear to her, any thing that don't kill her will make her stronger. Remeber my kids was on the US Jr. team for a long time.

Man.....

Does anyone have the next photos in the series?

I know they can paddle over the lip of the falls, I could probably do that, but I'm curious as to what happens when they land! That's the part I'm nervous about.

I wish I had a crystal ball to see how this is all going to turn out....but I don't! So what the hades.... as they say.... go big or go home. She's had some of the best open boaters work with her and now that we moved her into C1 one of her coach's is Michal Staniszewski 2000 Olympic Silver medallist C2. He seems to be pretty excited about her future....but only time will tell??? :-?

Pat she landed her boofs off the other ledges, but she missed her stroke on that one..... but thats what practice is about. It takes alot to intimidate her, that should move her along nicely, but just like the rest of us.... there will be times that she'll get worked.

The one of Emily was the last in that series but you can see the rest of the people abusing themselves in the entire 376 picture series here:
