Does anyone use an anti corrosive gel treatment on the connectors? If so, what?,and does it help on salt water too? I don't want to make the corrosion worse by taking it to the local tidal surf spot.

Treat them as English children in a mine; they go in and stay there till they die.
mine don't die.
Donno about salt water.

Silicone bulb grease.
I had problems with corrosion and after rewiring and soldering all the connections I used bulb grease on the plugs and have not had any problems since.
should be able to find it at any auto parts store for a couple of bucks.
