by old and in the way
I see on the NBC Olympic website that Benn Fraker advanced to the Semis, Scott Parsons did not.
Anyone able to figure out when this might be on TV? I cannot for the life of me find that out.
As an aside - Martikan ran the course in 85 seconds. Putting on my geezer grumble hat again, remember when times were in excess of 200?

Can't tell either - someone on BT said they were on at 3:00.

At this time, this shows "in progress"?

I agree! Winning time the Derby is usually just under 10 minutes. Now THAT is a slalom run:)

In '00 the schedule was "subject to change" Looks like that's the case again. I didn't get it yesterday, but have set the VCR again today. Suposedly, every event will be available for download from NBC's web-site, whether it was broadcast on TV or not.
Here's today's canoe & kayak TV listing:

Don't look if you want to watch it first. Hat's off to Benn Fraker
Final results for C-1 are here:

If you want some insight to the games that you won't find anywhere else, go to I-Tunes & search for "InBetween Swims". There are free podcasts. I haven't finished listening to the Olympic preview, but it's been pretty interesting so far.

I found online video of the C-1 heats
I only got through the 1st heat before getting kicked off the computer
Guess I should have watched it instead of paddling this afternoon....nah
Looks like a real tough course.

Thanks for posting that! For some reason, to me that looked like Kent Ford in the C-1 with the helmet cam?

The C1 finals are online:

How does the difficulty of this course compare to past Olympics?
If somebody finds the C2 finals, please post the link.

The C2 Semis were run about 3:00 AM EDT Thursday morning but the K1W Semis and Finals plus the C2 Finals were postponed due to a sever lightning storm at the course. These runs will be reschedule for 3:00 AM EDT early Friday morning, 8/15. It appears that they will be live internet streamed in the nbcolympics.com web site. Here's the link to the C2 Semis: [url]

Most of the time "Rewind" streaming will be posted about two day after the event actually happens to allow NBC TV first chance to air the footage.
