Aquaseal? The NOC catalog once upon a time suggested a can of fix-a-flat for slow leaks - not sure about that, though - toxic/flammable propellant.

I use Marine Goop.

If its just a small hole, not blown wide open, you can just use aquaseal, or some form of Goop on it For a pinhold a dab'll do. For a larger hole, lay it on thick, and work from the hole outwards an inch or so. It won't be pretty.
For a bigger tear or split seam, craft a piece of nylon or whatever fabric the bag is made of into a patch, spread a thin layer of your Goop or whatever on the back of the patch, and a thin layer on the bag in the shape of the patch, let it dry to tacky, slap the patch on, put some weight on it over night and let it set up. (Careful not to glue the bag together on the inside) Then go back over the repair spot with another layer of Goop.
Might also look into thermorest repair kits or vinyl pool repair kits, they come with fabric and adhesive. The pool adhesive will set even when submerged.

Shoe Goo and thread and needle on the seams works great. Slather the goo on both sides and sew it up...

The ripstop nylon repair kits you see at many outdoor shops works great. Comes in multiple colors and is self adhesive. A good covering for the aquaseal.
