Has anyone tried the new 8 inch wide aquabound flat blade paddle?

I'm curious to hear feedback on the feel since it has the unique ridges on the sides.

I have one of those. The catch compares to a spoon blade. The in-water recovery sucks though. It drags really bad if you just turn it sideways instead of pulling all the way out of the water. But it seems to have a lot more flexibilty than the AB Edge; it is a lot easier on the tendon in my bicep or I might just have cleaned up my stroke and beefed up the tendon since I started crossfitting.

All in all I like it but probably won't buy another one when I lose, break, or wear it out. AB paddles are extremely durable too. I had my edge for two years and it was just starting to show wear on the tip. I used it about every other week and through the winters. Unfortunately I lost it early this summer and have only been out 5 or 6 times with the new oddessey. I do like having a flat paddle rather than spooned too. Less to think about and it will eventually wear evenly.
