I have a Gore Tex drysuit with latex booties I put in it. It has a new neck gasket and I am getting ready to replace a wrist gasket. I sent it to Amigos last year and they did a good job patching a bunch of pinholes and a couple of larger rips. Now my question
I am going to wash it and spray it with Revivex to restore the durable water repellent finish. The instructions say to put it in the drier on warm for 50 minutes after applying the Revivex. I do not want to risk damaging the latex booties and gaskets. Someone suggested I dry it with a hair drier after applying the Revivex. It will be time-consuming. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Handwash, with warm soapy water and a soft bristled nail brush, rinse in warm water and hang to dry until damp, then spray very generously (you want to see beads of reproofing liquid) with the spray on NikWax TX Direct, leave to dry completely. et voila, DWR restored.

I've used Revivex on many a dry gear garments, including a goretex drysuit and a drysuit that had latex booties, not to mention the latex gaskets that are on most dry gear apparel, I thought it worked fine. I made sure not to use high heat though. There may be a better product than Revivex but thats all I personally have used. I think putting it in the dryer would be fine. As long as you follow the directions it should work. The DWR finish is going to wear out again though, is that what you thought didn't work Gumpy or was it another issue, just curious. What do you use now instead of Revivex?
