Its that time of year again....so a little light entertainment is in order...

Lots of talk about rolling and being comfortable underwater...
I just happened to having camera out some time ago when a pal of mine (Paul Mills) had a stroke of bad luck....did he bail out straight away....noooo!, top marks to him for trying....enjoy

:D
It was a Double Dutch Carbon....

The shaft has an extra layer of Kevlar/Carbon on the lower half to protect against damage and wear on the side of the boat etc.....however what this does do is create a stress raiser right in the middle of the shaft.

And guess where it broke...

It looks like you may have went to his aid instead of staying and viseo tping his total misfortune.
Where your priorities?

Hmmm. Looked to me at the end of the video like Wetnobby did go help the boater. Brings back memories of paddle and blade snapping incidents I got to have--usually at the precisely wrong moment.

Y'all keep havin' an enjoyable holiday.

Maybe you need more practice working the camera with one arm and the throwbag with the other :) bummer about the paddle, good move on the help.

Swimming camera

Post by billhay4 »

I took a swim on the LRC once at Humpty Dumpty and my "good friend" Don Ellis was filming. He carefully laid the camera down so it kept pointing at me while he grabbed his rope and threw it.
Needless to say, that film got wide circulation just like this one.
