Ain't Louis Fest: poor college student seeks ride/lodging
I was excited to check my mail and find that ALF falls on my college spring break
Alas I have no car and $20 a night for a tent spot is way out of my budget. So any one have room in there car for a young paddler?
I have to admit I have been paddling a kayak recently but don't be fooled- I am a c-boater a heart (the roll is just too much for my defective shoulders).
I have lots of redeeming qualities though, so don't let the kayak thing fool you! I am a decent camp cook, a Wilderness First Responder, trained in Swift Water Rescue (ACA), and I have my ACA canoe instructor certifications.
(man I could really maintain my dignity if I just bought a car.)
Of course I would be willing to share gas costs etc.

wouldn't give too much warning, I would just have tried for the ride at first and when you got here just stand around looking pitifil, look for a mother or motherly type of lady and then look really pitifial and be wolfin down a heel off a loaf of white bread and you should be set. My wife will fall for it if no one else will. Work on the ride preplaning ain't that good you always have to end up changin anyway. foracate one feeline at a time. Now come back under a differnt handle and try again..

I got the gist of it, but I'm still a little fuzzy on "foracate one feeline at a time"
