FYI

It should be the best ALF yet. We are supposed to get rain Fri, Sat and Sun. There should be some good plateau and AL options.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Cheoah on Saturday and then running something steep on Sunday (TN plateau or AL). Tellico, Little, Noli, LRC and other runs should be good during the first part of the week... if the rain falls like it's supposed to. Cross your fingers. Should be a great week!

III/IV on Friday

I'm in Knox already. Heading over to Henderson, NC after breakfast to get my new boat. Should have some form of workable outfitting by tomorrow. Planning on staying in Asheville tonight. I'd love to get out tomorrow, Wilson's or Watauga maybe? I'd be up for the dirty bird if nothing else is going. Not sure if I'll be back online. Anyone who feels like boating III/IV Friday give me a call.

Yep. Martin called to say he was in the process of crossing the border bridge on Hwy 81 (or is it 87?) and is on his way.

I made him promise to call regularly to give me an update of what's going on.

Just landed in Roanoke, VA after a 13+ hour drive from Maine and heard a radio forecast of 3 inches of rain and snow in western VA.

Feels pretty balmy around these parts... might wear shorts tomorrow.
