...Dagger, exactly why?

Now, an Esquif Shootout, or a Valley Mill, or Mohawk, or Mad River Shootout, fine. But why should canoeists care about a Dagger shootout?

One-a these days I'll succeed in getting rid of all the old Dagger stickers left over from when those traitors used to make REAL boats.

I RAN THE WAVE/HOLE YESTERDAY. Nedds just a little more work, OK a lot more work, if you goin to give money to have people flop around in a hole it should at least be a good hole.

I was up there as well, went through about 5, there was some guy moving rocks. Good Luck. It had a nice curler coming off the right side and nothing on the left.

I'd hope some C-boaters show up... could be some easy money for at least three of you.

I bet Cboaters only win ibuprofen. Maybe, since it is the NOC and they are in the cut, they could swing some oxy's or something at least make it worth while. No one cares about c1's time to rise up!

seemed like more a curling not as broad wave to me. easy to skirt, not near the chewy thing it was...maybe the showboats like that. last year at a sho-bo hot-dog sho-off in that hole, my wife said "all you can see is a helmet. paddle tip, and a piece of color go by". back in the good days of playing, you could see hugh enders to where the only thing in the water was the last third of the boat. and right on richard, right on!

I was there last year. We had 6 C-1 boaters competing. Six if pretty darn good turn out for the C-1 class. I won't be able to make it this year, but I hope some others go and represent.

PM me...I would love to purchase some of the old stickers...I have 5 of the old REAL boats...They were one of the first large manufacturer of wwoc (thanks) and helped get the sport out there. My boats could always use a little dressing up...It is too bad it came down to a business decision. They surfed the wrong wave and do not make ocs anymore...

a brief reminder that NOC is one of our sponsors here - so they may in fact care about us at least a little ;)

Wups; sorry for the lack of clarity: I mean those old Dagger stickers that are actually stuck on -- like on the spare tire cover of my van.

It does need a lot of work, they wave has changed pretty much everyday. it hasn't been good yet. but, there are several people working on it. hopefully it comes together by the shootout.

p.s. louie- you should have told me you were in the gorge i want to boat again.

I spoke of "that non-canoe-making Dagger", forgetting that (except for the top-level post) the title line is way unnoticable on cboats.net.

Didn't intend to hammer NOC.
