Hi Al,
Our plan is to meet at Friendsville at 11 am on Friday and run shuttle at the end of the day, hopefully get down to Wait Rock before noon, getting off as early as possible for the drive to the Gauley.
See you there, Leah

St. Pete and I will be arriving around 11-11:15 in Friendsville with a shuttle bunny at our disposal. The truck will likely have room for a few more passengers, the trailer will have room for quite a few boats. Given that the bubble gets to the putin around 12-12:30, getting off the river any earlier than 4:00 pm would mean outrunning the bubble, which is an unacceptable option on aching knees and virtually no natural flow. So we are expecting to get off the river by 4:15 and be headed down the road around 4:45 to 5pm.
FYI, they are calling for rain today and tomorrow, so if the Upper is higher than 2.2, we may opt to run the Top instead of the Upper, or run on just natural flow ahead of the release, if that is even an option.
My cell is 240 three seven five 90four0
A decision might not be made until late Thursday night or early Friday morning based on latest weather and gauge readings.

There used to be a place at the east end of Main St. but I don't know if it is still there. Used to be Twila's like 12 years ago, but it has changed hands a few times.
If it is no longer in business, there's always Little Sandy's at Keyser's Ridge, which is about 7 miles east of Friendsville on RT. 68.
There is also a gas station with a little convenience shop at the west end of town near the westbound Rt. 68 ramp, depending on how particular you are.
