Anyone know anything about a "Necky Stinger" as a C-1?

All I know about it is it was apparently designed as "a surf kayak". Not sure what that means to a C-1er?

Thanks, Pat.

surf kayaks are boats designed for ocean surfing. would love to go back to tofino one day. only time i was there i was in a ducky and had what is still the worst beatdown of my boating career. oops, 2nd worst. i forgot about the pine creek hole / triple drop experience on the ark.

C1 surfboats are the rarest of the rare! I'm aware of just one... So you'll be on your own, apparently worth the learning curve and gamble if you have access to good ocean surf (We've been having double overheads recently eeeek!).

I was looking at converting a surf boat myself, but ended up buying a c-squirt boat instead.

There's one for sale around here (posted on the MEC Gear Swap):

So I was curious. But, even though it's cheap ($150), probably not that curious, because I doubt I'f it it very well and I don't do ocean surfing. I'll stick with the Outrage and getting the Redline outfitted for now.

Assuming that is Dave Bainbridge's? There is a few more out there as well, one of the Irish C1 paddlers made his own and seems to do well in it.
I've been tempted to do the same as I am sick of the lack of speed in my agent!

But of course, Who else but Dave is that into his C1?

Though I haven't got out in it yet, I'm hoping that my Meltdown c-squirt will surf well enough that I don't need to get a surfboat too (of course if not, I'll be saving my pennies for a Megatron)
