I second (third?) Kaz, but I paddle my OC when the temperature is over 50F, my C! when it's under 50F approximately. My boat's to too tight to paddle comfortably with anything heavier than thin poly from the waist down and I'm too cheap to buy a drysuit.

By far most of the time in OC-1: an Outrage, but I'm interested in a Viper 12, Ocoee or something else sportier.

Dabble in C-1 coverts: Score and Redline, but not comfortable enough to run rivers all day.

Like OC-2: Vertige X, but only at "social events" when my wife paddles. Wouldn't mind paddling it more with other friends, just for a change of pace.

Probably the length would be 14' 9", which is about the C-2 racing length. There was a tendency back then to set cruising boat lengths the same as slalom or downriver length. It wasn't rational, but that's why we used to have all decked solo ww boats at 13' 2".

Otherwise let Louie Duet. 8)

My my my... the ratio of converted K1's is awfully close to "real" C1's isn't it?

Does anyone make a commercial dedicated C-1?

Atom, Cascade, Fink, Wheelboy, a few that I'm not thinking of, a zillion and four different kinds of glass C1's plus the dreaded GyroMax (pronounced Year-Oh-Macks) just to name a few off the top of my head.

We really do need a *NEW* plastic C1 don't we?

Considering the lack of current actual, decicated C-1 designs, I'm really surprised at the responses to the poll -

I'd I've thought relatively more C-1ers were paddling conversions (though I guess those who post on here don't necessarily reflect the general population of c-boaters).

Hopefully this time, the whoever the designer is will finally can the idea of pointy ends, and craft a balance between primary and secondary stability instead of emphasising the first*.

*thats kindof an unfair critique, most of the C1's I've used have been slalom boats, which have tended to be wide, flat and not that happy with being cranked over steeply on edge.

Started the season in my Nitro, Picked up a Skeeter, still hit the ME once in a while or the Explorer on flatter water.
you'll see me in a borrowed boat once in awhile to try new things including a few C1's.

may see me in a conversian next season.

unless someones got a Hahn they want to donate.

these boats just get so expensive.
