I'm 220 and I feel I'm somewhere near the upper limit for it. Depends on your paddling style and the type of rivers you run, and just the type of boat you like.
I've never considered buying aViper 11 because I felt I was too heavy for it - or that it was too wet for me. But other people my weight own it and like it. I may give it another look.
So, I'd say if you're 200lbs, you're probably OK; and if you're 250lbs, it's probaly too small. But in between, it's up to you.

A the post above says depends on you I feel the limit is about 215 220 but a lot depends on the type of water your boating and your style

So what is the bottom line........is the Viper 11 a boat for the 230# paddler or should they be looking for the Viper 12? Just on weight alone all others being equal, because I am looking to place an order for a Viper 11.

Try before you buy! You may be happier in a 12

How does the Viper 11 compare to the Ocoee. I had both a Viper 12 and a Ocoee (I learned in an Ocoee)? Is the Viper 11 fast, and does it handle creeks well?

I own a viper11, just paddled an occoee once.
Viper11 is faster
Occoee has more rocker, so turns faster
Viper11 is wetter
Viper11 is the better surfer
Viper11 is a bit more forgiving due to the somewhat softer chines at bow and stern in comparison to the occoee
Both are fun boats, give them a try.
If you're into creecking, i'd say you might want something shorter though
. Have a look at spanish fly, prelude, zoom, L'Edge, ... ?
