I made this a sticky so it won't get pushed off the main page.

Anyone want to trade their slalom boat for my downriver boat (Wenonah C1W)?

Big thanks to Natalie and EVERYONE involved.

Heck... Nat's this year is ARMADA worthy... UY, LY and ton's of "stuff" are nearby... RENDEZVOUS... viva' la c-boat... and all that jazz.

Be there or be... well... do the math!

So I am thinking of booking the week of the August 3rd to 6th off as vacation time.

The 4th is a Canadian holdiay so WTH ... might as well make a paddling vacay out of it.

Which means i will most likely be at the Lower Yough on saturday July 31st (my birthday), Sunday, Monday and then head over to McHenry after that.

Is there any camping out McHenry, MD way?

Hotel/Motel is not an option for me due to cost.

Camping at Fork Run at ASCI it says on the website!

OR

There's good camping to be had at Maryland's Garrett State Forest Campground, just up the road from the Upper Yough put-in, about 15 minutes from ASCI. The Campground is off of Piney Mountain Road and is a regular hang-out for boaters. There is no running water at the campground, so bring some, and pit toilets are available. There is one lean-to. IMO thats your best OTHER camping bet and that's where I will be staying probably.
