Who's got C-specific pogies and can you provide some photos or links?
Seems to be a void in the market right now...

I might have a pair you can have unless your in a rush! I'll have to look for them in the shed and its sort of impossible to get to right now! Just a mound of the white stuff!!! Let me know!

I've got Mt. Surf Creek Mitts in C-1 version. They don't list a C-1 version on their web site, but I'm not sure they ever did. It's worth an e-mail or call. I found these on the shelf at a local shop. I'd had a pair of nylon/fleece ones also by Mt. Surf, but I like the Creek Mitts better by far.

Mick, Bill Reap has a pair. I think he got them at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte.

I modfied Bob's design slightly. I didn't like how tight the top one fit. Once I fixed that, it would hold water when I rolled up, so I fixed that too. I also angled the bottom one. You can get the neoprene & neoprene cement from Sweet's. Contact cement will work for a little while, but you're better off w/ the neoprene cement.

i've been thinking bout ordering a pair of mtn surf c1 creek pogies, i just found their 'oven mits' on their website. sounds like a warmer version, for an extra 5 bucks. anybody tried these yet?

I was searching for photos on line to help someone get a pattern together to add to their offerings. It seems they used to make them but not recently.
I've already sent along the "Bob Putnam Plans". Nice work on those! That inspires me to make some myself.

mine are made by snap dragon. Bought them@ noc but had to ask for them as they didn't have them on there website.

i also have bob's patterns but have not glued any neoprene yet. how hard is it to butt joint glue two opposite curves together?
also i found neoprene at walmart, in the muscleman/gym/workout isle as workout shorts. about 10 bucks. (better to do bizz with sweet, but if you need a quick patch or repair or something, that might be nice to know)

yep mine are snap dragon too I think they were $40 at the white water center- basically the t grip cover has a hole for the t-grip - they're decent the t grip hand slips from time to time

It's not hard! Just follow my instructions. Once both edges to be bonded have tacked off, bring the nylon side of the pieces together with the edges lined up. then pinch small sections together at about 1" intervals. Once the pieces are tacked, let the pieces spread apart and press the areas between the tacks together. Turn the whole bonded piece inside out to complete the bonding.

I go back and forth between applying glue to a section of one pogie to gluing the other pogie. Wear thin latex gloves. Neoprene cement tends to last a long time on the fingers.

I have had the Mountain Surf ones for about eight years now, still going strong. They are great!

I made the neoprene glove from the tracing. Thanks Mike Watson. Paddled Wilson Creek Wednesday with them. Just could not keep my hands warm. Gloves got heavy as well from the absorbed water.

Changed to polypro glove liners under yellow diswashing gloves and stayed much warmer. I am sure it has been mentioned before. Put the liners and gloves on then your drysuit/drytop. I will pickup a pair of C1 pogies from the WW center in the future. Probably wear the diswashing setup underneath the pogies.

Didn't the last Kanawa Mag. review a pogie in the gear review section?

I'm thinking of getting a set before ALF. Is it worth it to go fleece lined, or does that just get wet and annoying (especially for someone who plans to swim a lot)?

Are most people just adapting kayak pogies to C1? I guess I'll just look at getting some NRS Mambas...
