Did only 6 people race? I thought there was a pro, mortal and junior class (no women?). And more importantly wasn't the whole of this event to have Louie and Longboatin (or was it Lengthy?) on the same river, preferrably in each others' boats - where were they?

If there was a canoe and a paddle up for grabs and 6 people racing, I might've entered, regardless of my skills!

Congrats on a successful event!

Pat.

Nice job with the race Richard. And thanks to Mohawak for stepping to the plate with the Maxim, and the Mitchell.

Canoe races like this are just the thing that will grow the sport!

Pat- there were more than 6 people in the race. From my perspective, bieng a first year race, a bunch of rules and classes just wasn't going to happen. Who knows what next year will bring.

So how many people raced, 10 or 12?

I hope this event gets big in the next couple of years. I've already got it on my calendar for 2011.

Thanks for getting this started Richard.

Race

I counted 23 at the start, might have been off a couple. I don't know how many finished but would guess 18 to 20. It was quite a good show. I wsa pictures of one of the long boats going over Baby Falls but didn't actually see it.

That is awesome Richard. I bet we will have over 40 racers by year 2 or 3.
