Aw, wasnt too painful, falling inta all that fluffy stuff. Though do have some nice bruising on the legs from bustin thru a thwart.

Ok here goes... dont hurt more than a bit tho. Im used to gittin up in the thwart, tho usually ya take it above the hips gittin stopped punchin steep holes, so I'm glad i got some air and contacted wid the legs.

Hey Larry vast majority of short boaters there woulda been better off swimmin too, didnt see too many make it upright. Besides, Louie came out the boat too, so I figgerd i better not top him too bad, it bein his home run an all
I might be rethinkn the no floatation thing, I could a paddled away from that wid a center bag!

Kudo's for huckin' the "Baby" LB'n... but after paddling with everybody down there that was in solo ww-canoes... are you considering something maybe a little bit shorter or more appropriately outfitted for whitewater? Maybe a long (11-12ft) solo ww-canoe?
I ran tandem over Wonder Falls once on a Shredder... because it looked like it'd be fun and the owner didn't want to do it. We survived... but it certainly wasn't by any means the best tool for the job.

hey smerda, he said he did as good as the short boats
as far as getting an appropriate craft goes, all he needs to do is come out here and entertain us. And I'm sure he's game.
I'll take him down giant gap or something like that....it's only class IV. then he'll be getting a new boat soon afterwards (because his barge won't make it out in one piece)
on second thought, nah....i don't want to litter any pristine runs with big plastic boat, we'll just do a roadside run like Tobin so the mess can be cleaned up easily.
On tobin, the real advantage of small boats shows up, because they flow through the seives. The barge may just stick.

A Caption or a Blast can be paddled solo or tandem with a triple saddle... it's at least worth considering if the whole "length" thang is really that important to him.
I mean... you could ride a unicycle on the Tour De France... but that wouldn't be the best tool for the job either... would it?
