I've heard Fred has a Big Pair !
For me; boating brings me closer to to something divine, and in a open canoe I'm 8 Inches closer.

awesome.

but seems to me the "fainting goat" might apply more to ending up in the water than to getting out of it.

i've seen lots of paddlers whose reaction to aquatic adversity is to do a fainting goat by stopping paddling and tipping right over...

What kind of boat is that you're paddling in your Profile pic ?

That was Fred in the photo isn't it? Looks like his Salad Bowl helmet.

To set the record straight the "fainting goat" is a GDI instructional technique. NOT Esquif.

BTW I'm not just saying this because I'm bitter about not winning the Fly.
But I properly wouldn’t have said anything if I had

Let me get this straight...

The fainting goat is just a poorly executed low brace?

My preference would be either do a snappy low brace or roll, Louie ends up 50 yards off line!

Have I missed something?

Kelvin.

Actually, the fainting goat is not a poorly executed low brace. It is actually the sweep of the upper body to the offside at the end of a roll or hail mary low brace. Named because I have a tendency to be dense and fainting goat helps more than sweep for some reason.

Bob, they're either real big, or the brain is the size of a pistachio.
