Open Canoes on Int'l Trips?

Post by MrJack »

This is the 3rd time I have tried to post this in about 5 minutes, so if they all show up at once, I apologize.

I would love to take a paddling trip this winter (or next) to maybe Ecuador or Costa Rica to paddle some class II/III. I have found some great trips but it seems that I can only rent a raft or kayak.

Does anyone have experience with this? Am I likely to be able to find a WW OC2 to use on a trip like this? Thanks!

But I'm not sure if they rent the boats out. AFAIK they use them only for their trips...
Anyway, it's worth a try

Post by costaricarios »

We have about 20 canoes in Turrialba which you can use on any of our Week of Rivers (www.costaricarios.com/costa_rica_kayaking.asp or www.costaricarios/canoe_costa_rica.htm) 8 and 13 day tours. Tours run from October to March!

Given this week’s shooting at Budweiser, I wonder if where it is states "exercise caution in unfamiliar areas and be aware of their surroundings at all times" for traveling abroad, traveling to the US should say "exercise caution in high school, universities, fast food restaurants and general work places"

sorry as a mexican i just could't keep quiet, i know it is not the forum but the travel warnings have been blown out of proportin.

And if you like paddling with hot, single, red-haired chicks, Shannon McGuigan is going to be working at Costa Rica Rios soon.
