Wendy, Gilley, Ed, Amber, Alex, Bobby, Steve, Matt, Mark, Todd, Wade, and I arrive Thursday. Still hoping that Colin and squeekyknee to join us. Lower Friday, Lower Saturday, Loop Sunday. Some of our crew want to skip the Loop on Sunday and hit the New River Gorge on the way home. We'll see. If you see a huge group of OCs and a K1, say hello.

There's a contingent of SW Ohio boaters going (yaks and canoes) for Saturday, doing the whole run. I'm tagging along with those folks.

I'm wondering if the term "cannon fodder" applies to myself?

The upper didn't release this past monday because of lack of water in the lake. They were only doing 2 hour releases on mondays and fridays lately before monday. Friday is not a sure thing as of late. Saturdays have not been affected yet.
Just a heads up.

1.48 Friday, 1.42 Saturday. We chose not to run the Loop this morning. Fun trip, good to see so many open boats out there. I sure wish my blue Prelude had made it. We had my Prelude and two other boats on my buddy's rack. The entire rack flew off the truck. The boats stayed attached to the rack. No serious damage. Then the 18-wheeler came along. Two boats survived with nothing beyond some scratches. The Prelude died.

Sorry I missed the group on Sunday! Bummer on the boat! Think of it dying so others could live to paddle again!

Great time paddling with you guys (and Gals!). The Bar-b-cue wasn't half bad either.
Thanks for the test ride in the L'Edge at swimmers Wendy. That boat is super cool! :D

Had a great time. Wish I could have put faces to names, but we got separated. Wendy, was that you in the L'Edge? Rich and Kirk were in the other two L'Edges (I know of) that day. Me, in the battered teal Rival.

Cheers,

Doug

Had a blast! I enjoyed paddling the L'Edge on the wave. Got some good tips to work on my roll. Some swims, but still was lots of fun.
