Another awesome Gull River Open Canoe Slalom

Post by kneeol »

I just wanted to say thanks to all the great volunteers who helped organize yet another great slalom weekend on the Gull. I can't believe it's been happening for the last 30 years.

A big thanks to the Scriver family for getting all the volunteers organized and especially Marilyn for all the amazing pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/scriverpaddleski/

Race results are posted at Rapidmag.com http://www.rapidmag.com/features/featur ... -race.html

I can't wait for next year's race.

I like racing there... excellent venue... good water... well run.

As a matter of fact... there was a group of Wisconsin OB'ers that have come up for the event the past two or three years... including this one.

Gull River race

Great to have the Wisconsin contingent - Tom and Dave - at the Gull again this year. Maybe next year for others from that fine state - Michelle, Dewey, Craig, Roy, Pete, Amy....

I guess Minnesota is close enough to Wisconsin. Great event and great to be beat by my friends in Wisconsin...once again.
