UnLikely comments. . .

The metropolis of Likely, BC, was the venue for the annual UnLikely Paddlefest, held this weekend.
An estimated 70 boats participated -- mostly kayaks, with a few inflatables, some new-fangled stand-up boards, and 3 lonely C-boats (a Viper 12, an old Cascade, and a Remix conversion.) Paddlers came from all over BC, plus some Aussies, Newzies, and Idahozies. (Idahosers? Idaho, but I lost it?)
Saturday and Sunday saw unlimited runs down the Quesnel, the Upper Cariboo, and the Lower Cariboo. Levels were ideal for fun times. Monday featured a side trip out west to the Chilko.
The band at the Saturday night party was superb, and Sunday started late because of an unfortunate outbreak of 26-ounce flu (which didn't affect the C-boaters, who showed more discretion, BTW. . .)
Thanks to the good folks of Likely for their hospitality, and to the organizing committee for their hard work.
