OK; I just just dropped the pecos with Esprit to do their week-of-rivers Jan 29-Feb5 (just missed Dooley and Eli - they're lucky).
Could someone advise as to whether I should bring my dry-suit or would a splash-top and pants suffice.
Also, would it be better to bring a +5C or -7C sleeping bag?
Thanks.
I know it's 3 months away, but I'm pumped!!

although it can get cold outside, the water temperature never drops enough to need a drysuit.

Au Contraire, Geoff...I'll be down Jan 29th.
Last year we had overcast skies and my wetsuit was nice. Splash pants and a top would also be a good bet...I agree, no need for the drysuit. If the sun comes out, I may drop to a cotton t-shirt.
Bring your sunscreen and a raincoat. :)
I don't follow the Celsius, but I was comfortable in a lightweight bag.
Looking forward to paddling with you!
Eli

Eli,
Awesome news that you're going that week. Thought you were booked for Feb. Finally someone can show me how to run waterfalls, other than Louie's advise of "point downstream".

I think he meant "point downstream and pull a stroke off the lip"...
