For wooden paddle repair in the USA, is there anyone else to consider besides Mitchell?

Check with Vince Zappia. Zap paddles. He is in North Georgia and has repaired a couple of my paddles.

Walter Jepson at Polar Paddles in Friendsville, MD. http://www.polarpaddles.com/

Really good work and a great excuse to paddle the Upper Yough, like you need one.

Yes and no. He builds paddles when he feels like it now - busy with his family.

I've bought a few paddles from Mike Jones. I talked to him yesterday and he's going to Mexico for five months soon.

Fortunately, shipping for a canoe paddle is a lot less costly than for a kayak paddle.

Mitchell did a great job reglassing the blades on a couple wooden paddles for me. Peter even replaced the veneer at the blade bottom without an extra charge.
