How do others mount snowboard binding straps low in a boat with a dagger C1 saddle? I am look to mount them low around the knees. I have thigh straps mounted high and have just obtained a set of snowboard bindings. Seems like a good idea if I can come up with a good way to attach the outboard side.

i use plates cantilevered back from the existing kayak footbrace bolts..
1/8" aluminum plate
or carbon fiber...
plastic plate would work too.

mine are rivetted right to the base plate. i used the existing holes in the center and got long enough straps to go to the edge of the base plate, the typical length of the ankle straps worked fine for my little chicken legs!

Thanks for the info. Larry, do you put another bolt through the hull for the front attachment point?
I got part of the outer skin from a Gyramax. Might cut strips and use that to cantilever the upper attachment point.

yeah, you would need two bolts to keep the bar from moving. the pics are of converted kayaks and most already have two bolts, the blunt only had one bolt and i added another. Not a big deal. If you need to add bolts anyways, i would just do it where it works best and maybe not use a big plate.....you could just bolt the strap right to the hull.

I just bolted straight into the hull on mine its even a little below the water line but the boat is still dry just use some rubber washers.
