what would it be, and why?

I ask as it was posted what boats might be appearing for folks this holiday season... and I'm wondering what favorites are these days... especially with the new crop of boats out there;)

I'll go first - Shaggy Sith.

Why? I primarily "river run" and play (surf, not rodeo flips and such). Big water, small water, it is stable, playful, and comfy - and surprisingly fast for it's length, and punches holes with abandon.

Dagger Ocoee. Safe, stable, reliable yet playful. Much more durable that the Bell version.

I'd take a Millbrook Coho. Maybe cl.3 capable, which is as hard as I need to go. I'd set it up primarily for poling, as my knees have seen better days, and I'm enjoying the challenge of ascending rapids more than going down them lately. Getting the feeling the Coho paddles a bit better than the Souhegan, and I could probably set it up for tandem. Both designed by my old "tuesday night poling" buddy Ed Hayden, who just departed earth to go show the angels how to canoe pole. Built by Kaz, so the money doesn't go to corporate types, either, though I'm thinking there may be a connection to Keystone, Miller or some other cheap beer in there somewhere.

What OC1 / OC2
what C 1 / C2
etc......

OC1 - Right now Prelude based on my style but Viper would work. Like the LEdge and the Black fly too.
OC2 - Kaz boat... don't matter which version. Buggers are FAST!
C2 - Probably the toughest ... cruising verses gates verse play.... Noah America but glass is very close.
C1 - Sith hands down... always brings a smile in any condition. My $.01!

For surfing - Sith. Folks have asked me if I had it designed for the wave @ Weldon. It's that good.

Cquirt - I've got the Woodie. Best C-1 cockpit design ever. It's also the only one I've been able to completely sink I would like some more time in the Ceamweaver though...

Big water / attaining - Viper. It's fast, stable & you can flat water stern squirt it. The Hornet is cool too, it's just not squirtable.

I want to try some of Kaz's boats too.

Sorry Larry.. just can't own ONE boat!

L'Edge... runs the steep stuff while being fun to surf and play in.

Then there's this one boat in my head that hasn't been "made" and most likely never will be... a c-boat my dreams are made of... and only a handfull of people might actually want to buy or even want to paddle

WOW that Departure looks fun!

Probably an Outrage X or a Prodigy X. I'm too tall and heavy for shorter boats like the Ocoee.

If I can dream... a 10' polyethylene Ocoee. Same as above but more durable and more creekable

The boat does, apart from steep and shallow creeks and new school aerial play, just about everything. One of the best surfers ever.
