YEAH RICHARD!!! That's what I'm sayin. Now if you can just shame louie into running it... another.

Dools, I think im gonna squat out there for a couple weeks in the summer and just pound it like its fresh. Whatever that means. Obviously I need to come out of that styling it. But what I'm really banking on happening is... just blacking-out and boating out of my mind...then all asudden come to at the finish line.

Ya gotta get here James! It's gonna be gnarly.

I think my race run was my 5th run down it, so you don't "need" 50 runs, but I also spent a long time making sure I memorized and could visualize every move and how they went together. I did get worked in Go Left and the Speedtrap though.

i was tagged back there, interesting how one can suggest a river b4 one runs it.. right yankee? i expect to give it a try before too long. tho , i dont have the boat for it. <zoom> so i may enter into catagory number 2, as it seems like there are 2 catagories ;; people w/ 50 plus runs in , wanting to win.. and those who come to represent, but are actually gonna go home with a golden gorilla~

thats cruisin jemery....

scott...i'm in category 3... just tryin to smokin the notch and air out on gorilla in an openboat in front tons of ppl...and if I've made it to that point, then i'm probably going to achieve my 2nd goal... posting a time. I don't care if I pin upside down in go left and kayakers are posting record breaking scores from Boofing my boat.... I'm there doing my part. Supporting the brothahood.

I bet we'll have a few in each category...

I'm most likely going to run it like I would if ppl werent there... don't rush it...and just hit the lines. I'm going to take out the 'paddle as fast as u can factor... I'm just not there yet. I'm just gonna be out there to help lead the charge. If everyone that has the skill takes that mentality... we'll have a showing of epic proportions... to the point where 5 years from now...when someone says..."who won k1 for the 2011 green race" ....you'll get an answer of "i dunno dude. that was the year when all those badasrs openboaters showed up"

I like the reserved goal my man.
Nice mental image too of me boofing your hull
I hope ALL Cboats get to the Flume smooth....speed trap does as it will.

Roll Roll Roll.

Posted Start times are all that matter in my book. Posted Finish times all the better. I'm sure any OC1 paddler would gladly claim 4th or 5th place if only there were enough participants to place that high.

Go Team OC1!

Loser buys. I'm down.

I'm putting Eli as a heavy favorite...as he's the ONLY ONE who been racing for the better part of a decade.

Dooley after that. As he is a complete animal. And can do whatever he puts his mind too...

It's going to come down to a) starting the race and b) performing under pressure so large that most likely none of us have ever experienced.

...I dunno something about running STACKED class V+ rapids in front of 1000 or so people.... When is the last time any of you went bigger than that?

Here's another race where you "fullgnarlz" hot shots can come and impress kayakers on the west coast:

http://www.liquidlore.com/callaghanrace/race2011.html

http://liquidlore.blogspot.com/2010/07/ ... recap.html

It would be cool to see some canoes at this event.

I would love to race Callaghan. That is a dream run for me. I would really like to boat in BC. I have 3 or 4 runs I'm dying to do out there and Callaghan is one of them.

I don't have time with work to drive there from TN. If someone has a L'Edge that I can borrow I would love to fly out there and do the race some time.
