Only the Upper Tellico

Post by 2opnboat1 »

So it is that time of year again, The race will be Nigh noon sunday March 13.
This year will be a mass start, Normal put in thru Jareds knee. The First one in the water after the Knee WINS. Same as last year class wise. Still working on the Prises, But so far Mohawk will give away a boat. Hopefully there will be more to come.

Jareds knee and not baby falls?? I'm racing regardless and it will be badass either way but it seems like it would be more exciting to sprint through the falls... maybe better for spectators too. Thanks for putting this on richard. I'm very excited. I hope we get a big turnout this year. Should I get some bibs made or would the rangers frown on an organized race?

I challenge all of you to a duel. A duel of speed, boofs, low braces and rolls. (glove slap to your face) Do you accept.

I accept your challenge. (Double white-glove, double-cheek face slap!) I will destroy all that get in my way!!!!!!!! Or maybe just try and style the Tellico. I'm game for a Saturday practice run 'cause I don't know jack about the Tellico. Can't wait, fools!

Very cool Richard. I think through the falls is the way to go to make it more exciting for both the racers and spectators.

Let me know if you want me to get bibs made or if that might make it too "official" and cause problems. I want this to be an annual event (which it already has become)

I vote that some of us get to be "glad-i-boaters"...and get to hang out in eddys...and fly out at ppl like rabid squirrels.

Now that would involve some 'heads up' boating on the racers part.

From the videos I have seen the ledges on the upper tellico and the tohickon seem similar. This of course does not include baby falls. For those of you in the know is this assessment correct?

i'd say thats accurate, until you get to baby falls. of course jared's knee wouldn't fit that comparison, but that's not part of the race. you'll be fine ed :D
