The best color for a canoe

Post by ESP »

Gumpy and I were talking about Royalex colors. In addition to the issues of durability, letting the boat cure for a peroid of time after being made, and UV resistance, he asserted that red is the color of choice for speed. My response was that at my age I am not going racing. So the real question is, what color boat is the most FUN! :D

Your favorite color.

Or whatever color your favorite boat comes in.

Or whatever color the used boat you can afford is.

C'mon man
Its not about the approach. Its about control in the hole.

Red boats are faster.

They also make the best photos.

Other than that who cares?

Some one is bored... I'll agree with most, that red is my first choice and it is faster.... But man give it to me and pink will do!

Not only bored but trying to lighten things up. Everyone seems to be so intense and life is just too short not to be having fun.

It's been a long time since physics class, but if I remember red is a slower wave length so red would slow you down. A purple or violet boat would have a faster color. Didn't work the Vikings though

Red...fast boats fast cars

This makes me think of something I read...John Winter's once did a study on boat colors and how if the canoe was red, the paddler always thought/felt it was faster...even if the data didn't support that :D Nonetheless red is a good color

Sweet I have 2 purple boats! But the colour of choice is red for me too. Even though I've yet to own one.... :)
