Esquif customer service ROCKS

Post by Smurfwarrior »

Going down a juicy class 4 today I felt the boat crack while sliding over a water covered rock. I couldn't believe it. Got out and yup... a 9.5" curvy crack right under the rear of the saddle... since that moment I couldn't be happier with their customer service. True gents and out to do whats right.

Even PE boats break. How has the warranty respone from Esquif been? That is the key. Otherwise the boat should be easy to fix.

Ho it will be interesting to see what will happen!! And see if there will be others... Is there quality in PE or it's all the same? the fact that most kayaks have foam pilars and rails make the boat more resiliant in that area? keep us informed and maybe Craig can chime in regarding the PE used in the l'èdge...

That really sucks. Especially after you spent all the time and effort on your first class outfitting. 'Hope things work out to your satisfaction with Esquif.

Smurf. How many Kayakers were with you on the run? Would you say it was possible that a kayaker sabotaged ur L'edge? If not them...then who? River gremlins?

I was wondering if this was going to be a problem with L'edges due to the fact they are so wide, and have such a large, unsupported area. So far they seem to have held up. Hopefully this is a fluke.

Well this one broke under the rear part of the saddle.. where it is supported by the saddle foam.

let's re-examine the facts... you were with two butt boater. your ledge was in perfect condition prior to the run... at some point you 'noticed' a large crack in the boat.

there are 1000s of ledges in the world...and urs breaks...on class IV. I dont think so. I think you should re-examine your buttboatin friends.

either that...or ur old lady was tired of hearing u mutter things like 'oh l'edge ur so forgiving' and 'l'edge i love everysecond im in u' (innopriotate?) and sheeeee sabotaged it...

only two possible scenerios.

Incredible customer service. Esquif has already gotten back with me and are going to take care of the situation. What an awesome company. Top Shelf....

The L'Edge is an awesome boat and Esquif stands by their product.
