Richard/Alex, you guys need to load up your Vipers and head down to the Locust Fork slalom race this weekend. It will be a lot of fun and there will be a lot of other open boaters down there.

FYI

You can't register the day of. You need to be there Friday night from 6-9pm to register to race on Saturday. And you need to be there from 4-6pm on Saturday if you plan to race on Sunday.

Saturday will be the "Championship" races meaning the glass classes where we will racing Edges or Kaz boats.

Sunday will be the "Cruising Classes" where it will be royalex boats like the Spark, Ocoee, Viper, Zoom etc...

There will be boatercross races on Saturday and Sunday and there will be a 3 mile downriver race on Saturday after the slalom.

I'm planning to do the slalom, downriver and boatercross. It's cool to race against the kayakers in the downriver and boatercross.

What is the downriver race format? Timed or gang start?

The race would be a good place for a MOHAWK booth and demo's too.
If I can get over this gd flu by then I'd be glad to lend a hand.

I think they send people out in 1 minute intervals on the downriver event but I'm not sure.
