- video of today, of my dad and I's trip to get the Maxim from the WV Wilderness, which has been there since last Saturday.

Pretty good conclusion to the epic saga of Otter Creek, which is finally over

Looks kind of fun even at that level. Did you decide to paddle out when you got in there and saw the water level? You seem to be getting that boat dialed in pretty well.

Glad you got her back. Looks like a nice boulder garden paddle out too - nice scenery!

Good luck with that shoulder!

Cool video of some low water creekin'. Kudos to the Colonel for hiking it and filming it.

Speaking of Otter Creek, my sources tell me that the first complete, successful descent of Moore Run was made today by Geoff Calhoun, Steve Graybill, Bobby Miller (who ran all drops), and our own friend of the single blade, Seth Chapelle.

Word!

Awesome

Congrats on the first D's. I've seen videos with Seth in them but it wasn't until about a week or two ago I learned who he was. He styles it in a Pocono creeking video and an Upper Yough video both on Youtube.

Seth is a gnarly paddler. Justin - he's the C1er that does the Wavewheel on the 12fter in the Creek and Destroy Promo and Episode 1.

and yeah - the plan was to hike it out. I didn't bring any of my paddling gear because I wasn't thinkin about paddling it out whatsoever due to my shoulder, and wanted to rest it. So by not bringin any gear, i wouldn't have the option of paddling(or so i thought).

instead - i decided to paddle n e ways lol, in regular clothes, and w/ the breakdown that was already in the boat. In hindsight - Im' glad I paddled(just wish i had pfd n helmet), because I found out that my shoulder is about 80-90%, and tendons didn't swell too bad. This is good, because 9 days at ALF is longer than I've ever paddled consecutively.

and because I saw how my shoulder handled it... I'm taking advantage of the rain after all, and hittin it tomorrow! :P

Mistake....I need you to stay healthy if only for a split on the $3.50/gal gas down to ALF.

When it comes to the body, play when you're young, pay when you're old.

Get it while you can.

Yeah, you're both right. Play now and pay later because there really is no play later!!

Be safe.
