I was just curious if there are any C-boat folks going to this festival. I saw a lot of canoers last year, but never heard any chatter on Cboats.

Wish I could. It's definately on my calendar for next year. Does anyone have any video or pictures of past years? What really got me excited (in addition to the water) was the indoor campfire with a bluegrass band.

Last year was my first year, I was surprised by the party and the hospitality of the hosts, not to mention it is a cheap weekend! It is on my calendar every year now, good times.

Still have the Detonator, the Ocoee that I wanted to buy was sold before I could sell the Detonator, cant be boat-less!!

I am bringing the tandem (with my wife) and the Detonator....Shoudl be there later Friday night...

When are you showing up? I'm hoping to get a run in tomorrow if I can find some folks to paddle with.

Hoping to be down there tonight or Friday morning. Hopefully head to island around 11 to look for boaters.

We wont be getting there until later on Friday. We will be in the Trails End cabin, top of the hill by the football field. There will be a couple canoers with us, I'm sure we will make the breakfast in the morning, are you both doing the race, or just paddling?

Bruce - I should be able to make it to the island by 11:30 or so - depends on DC traffic, etc. My plan is to get on the road pretty d*mn early tomorrow AM.

(Unfortunately I have to drive back on Saturday night).

Looks like our entire crew bailed, no water (or predicted) and snow/rain doesn't make for fun paddling I guess.....
