Gauley Season

Post by oopsiflipped »

Can we have a sticky for everyone's Gauley plans again this year?

I'd like to get to paddle with more board folks again this year. It'd be fun to catch the PA crew on the lower instead of just running into you guys and trying to follow rafts.

I'm Sundays and Mondays only, might make it up for some apple pie action Gauley Fest Saturday night....

I'm HOPING to make it the first weekend, but I've got some boats to build, so I might only make it sunday-monday. I'll definitely be there for the festival, and most likely the weekend after the fest. Most likely staying at the dam on weekends other than the festival, when I'll be staying at the festival.

to drive 20 some hours to boat here when it's raining at home again?

i'll say i'm 90% certain to be at swiss by 10 am on Sun 11 Sept for folks running the lower. My wife said she'd go tandem with me if anyone has a boat we can use.

Wayne, your plan gels with mine for the most part .

I was thinking UY Friday, Lower Gauley Saturday and NRG on Sunday.....then leave for home. If I could get three different runs in in three days, that would be epic...espically since the LG and NRG would be firsts (in my boat.)
