Cheers Insolence!

I'll be up for doing the whole week if anyone is interested? For days of trouble causing just doesn't seem enough!

See you all there,

Kelvin.

I will I suspect, not make it once again; I'm fairly certain I'll have my Viva in that time period. Though I will be heading to the alps and/or norway in the weeks immediately afterward.

@Krikkitwars: I'm sorry to hear that....unofrtunately it's impossible to make it right for everyone ....maybe keep - later in the year - the ECBA summer school in mind? (no date yet, location probably Versam)
keep me updated, though, when heading to the alps, I might join you for some paddling

@ Kelvin: might be that I come back to you! though I hardly can tell....I'll be finished with my bachelor's thesis end of march, and only God knows where I'll be and what I'll do afterwards

See y'all there!

And if you're cruising through Switzerland any other time, then I'm back in Bern and nearly always looking to paddle! It's been a long 2yr paddle-drought in the tropics and I'm looking forward to putting some more miles under my hull.

I probably won't make it due to the broken collar bone - badly broken -

It's still a long time before the armada, but I'm not putting mu hopes up too much.

Would be nice to come along, but no chance for the next few months what with a new baby, next year for sure. :(

What sort of level of paddling will people be looking to do at the armada?

Any intermediate paddlers coming ( like me )?

define intermediate ;-) ...

Most of the days, there are 2 to 3 groups paddling, depending on interest (and sometimes skill). So you should be able to find a group to join, or find a couple co-paddlers for the stuff you'd like to do.

Ah, yes, thanks jakke, I should have been more specific indeed.

Will this be entirely Grade 4 and 5 water or will there be people looking for less challenging water than that? I've not been to this area but looking at the North Alps book I'm not seeing very much 3, so a bit concerned this might be too much for me.

Cheers

Are you coming to the Drome at Easter?

The way it goes often:

- a group of paddlers tackling stuff with a respectable amount of grade IV, no V as far as I know.
- a group of paddlers tackling grade II. Depending on the area it's grade I-II or II-III

Sometimes some of the better paddlers and guides take a small group of paddlers on a somewhat harder (grade III - IV) run. A bit personalities and area dependant.

I won't be at the Drome, nor at the Armada because I've badly broken my collar bone in November while paddling. I'm paddling again on flatwater, but I can only start whitewater paddling in June :(. Otherwise I'd probably be paddling with you ;-).
