Lake Powell

Post by Alan S »

I'm considering a canoe trip on Lake Powell during the first week of April to paddle, camp, explore side canyons, and hike. I'd appreciate advice from people who have paddled Lake Powell about a possible itinerary.

I got a lot of good info from contacting the BLM, they put me onto a Ranger who paddled a touring kayak on Lake Powell. Unfortunately do not remember his name, although I'll try and see if it's scribbled on a old map.

Thanks. Did you do the trip? It seems pretty hit and miss when you call field offices but I should give that a try.

Heading out for some boating, will try and look up Rangers name before weekend. Was going to - but forgot about this last night.
